About Us

What is GC Missions?

GC Missions is the foreign missions outreach arm of the Church of God (Seventh Day) in the United States and Canada. GC Missions is a multifaceted ministry. It assists national conferences through developing sustainable income, health, education, and Christian witness in partnership with local churches, businesses, and friends.

Mission

GC Missions exists to glorify God around the world by proclaiming the good news of Jesus Christ, teaching the Word, and equipping believers to serve the nations.

Vision

Our vision is to establish the church in countries where it does not exist and build up its long-term ministry to impact the world with the good news. (Matthew 28:18-20).

Purpose

GC Missions works closely with local brethren around the world to create sustainable programs that dramatically improve lives of those in need and opens doors to share the Gospel message in their communities.

History of GC Missions

More than 100 years ago, the Church of God (Seventh day) found itself on the international mission field in places like Mexico, Jamaica and Nigeria, through the influence of its literature program and the witness of men and women who visited here and took the message back to their homelands.

The work of GC Missions has grown quickly since 1975. We have served in more than 75 nations, providing churches and contacts with necessary resources and guidance. The Church is now represented in more than forty nations around the world through its International Ministerial Congress, and is developing in approximately 20 more. GC Missions is more intentional than ever to play the role Christ designed for us when He said, “Go, therefore, and make disciples of all the nations . . .”  (Matthew 28:19).

Who and where we serve

As Christ’s disciples, we want to be faithful stewards of what God gives us–not by giving people just enough for today, but multiplying those resources to last them and others for a lifetime of fruitful service to the glory of God. When you support GC Missions, you support a growing network of brothers and sisters around the world who understand the unique culture they live in and how to serve those in need both physically and spiritually.
